My family was traveling to Delaware for vacation this summer . My husband has cancer and we wanted to commemorate the occasion with family beach pictures. We are so very fortunate to have found Sarah and Still Poetry Photography! Sarah went above and beyond to make our experience so special. A few weeks after Sherri's family received her photos, her husband's battle with brain cancer came to a close.

She texted me to let me know that he died with the large portrait from their family vacation hanging in his hospice room. He asked his family to hang it so that he could look at it every day.

Because they took these family photos, his only grandson will be able to look back and see that even if he doesn't remember him, he was once held and loved by his grandfather.

I’m a neurodivergent, queer, female photographer who captures joy during family vacations.

We're not posing for a Target commercial. We're capturing the authentic love of your family.

The Still Poetry Photography beach family photography Experience

Before

Once you reach out with your date and location, we'll let you know if we're available!
If we're both free that day, I'll send over the contract and invoice for your retainer. This retainer covers your session time.
Then, you'll get a wardrobe guide to help you prepare, helpful tips to keep your kids engaged, and email reminders up until the day of your session.

During

Once you arrive at our location, there's not more stress allowed! We've got it from here.
We know exactly what photos we need to get based on your family dynamics: whole family, individual families, cousins, grandparents and grandkids, original family members, individuals of each kid...we've got it covered.
We start with getting the boring formals out of the way, then we do the more dynamic poses, and then end with completely candid moments. This is where the true magic happens!

After

After the session, you head back to your rental while we edit! Within 2 weeks, you'll get a digital gallery to select your photos from. You only pay for the photos you love, and you can get digitals and prints right through the gallery itself.
Everyone from the family can make their own selections and buy their own photos, so you don't need to play the Venmo game! We make it as easy as possible for you to start enjoying your photos ASAP.
