These are just the results of real life couples who can't get enough of each other who found a photographer who makes them feel safe enough to be themselves.
We are true-to-life, documentary-style photographers that emphasize capturing real life moments through the lens of an artist. We're here to make you feel comfortable and confident so that your photos turn out effortlessly cinematic without feeling like a staged production.

We work with you to create a session that makes you say "This is us," from the location, to the styling, to the concept, to the posing.

We developed our shooting and editing style so that it can capture every skin tone and body type with grace and accuracy.
No, we won't use a preset that makes your beautiful skin look orange.
And no, photographing from a higher angle is not the only way to flatteringly photograph plus size bodies.

I’m a neurodivergent, queer, female photographer who creates safe spaces for my clients to experience true joy and make everlasting memories.
Nervous about photos? Uncomfortable in front of the camera?
You're in the right place.
Our sessions don’t feel like one long photoshoot. It's just us hanging out with a really expensive camera and you get a gallery at the end of it.

The Still Poetry Photography Couples portraits experience
Before
Right after you book, you receive a questionnaire that helps us gain some insight into your relationship.
Where did you guys meet?
How do you like to spend your time?
What are some of your favorite memories together?
Once we get that survey back, we start to put together the perfect session that represents your love.
We send over a moodboard for you to approve, and then we schedule your session! We're here to suggest locations, concepts, and offer pieces from our client closet for you to borrow.
During
It's photoshoot time! Once you arrive on location, no more stress is allowed. It's time for you two to just enjoy spending time together while we handle the rest.
We use our specific blend of prompting and posing to guide you in front of the camera just enough that you don't feel like you're floundering but you also don't feel like we're posing you as marionette dolls. We know just how to help you feel like naturals, and most of the time you'll forget the camera is even there.
After
Once we finish the session, we run home and start editing your beautiful photos! Within 2 weeks, you'll receive a gallery and you can purchase as many or as few photos as you would like. You only pay for the session fee upfront, so you aren't locked in to any packages and you only pay for the photos you love.
